5 ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN TREATING ACNE

Beauty

Acne, acne acne. Am sharing 5 essential ingredients to look out for when treating acne.We all know acne, Every girls problem, sometimes even boys. except the few lucky ones. This is one of my most requested post, with a twist. How did i treat acne?

Those who know me well know of my struggles with acne last year. Last year was definitely the worst time of my life (skin wise) i went through so much, but that's story for another day. So anyway, while my skin is no where near perfect (yet) or any where near where I'd love for it to be, i can proudly say I've made tremendous progress and i made this progress through trial and error, making mistakes and learning from them. That's why you got me, i don't want anyone to have to go through all i went through simply cause they are trying to clear acne. I'm not a guru or anything but I've come to learn that in this life, it's still always best to share the little you know. And that is why i am sharing with you guys today the 5 ingredients to look out for in your skincare regimen when treating acne. Trust me when i say this, these stuffs are the truth, if you are battling with acne or struggling with acne, you better have two or more of these stuffs handy. They have been tested and tried and i can vouch for them. Great news is you are likely to find most of these stuffs in your skin care products, from cleansers to moisturizers to face masks, just make sure to keep an eye out for them when buying skin care products. It doesn't hurt to check the ingredient mentions of a product or better still buy a product that focuses on these ingredients. And i have made a list of ingredient you should be on the look out for, plus some of my favorites.

BENZOYL PEROXIDE

This is the holy grail. In fact, if you are struggling with acne and you do not have a product that contains benzoyle peroxide, then i suggest you leave this article right now and run to the nearest store to get one. Better yet click on one on the list below and buy one online. Benzoyl peroxide is a go-to ingredient that detoxify pores and release sebum build-up. Positively the best thing you need if treating acne.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

Among the many uses of activated charcoal, is acne control. This is a staple ingredient in my skin care regimen and i use more than one product with activated charcoal.

Currently using Beauty formula activated charcoal face scrub...Get the whole set of three including cleanser, mask and scrub for half the price or get the scrub alone.

VITAMIN C

If nobody ever told you, vitamin c is good for you and your skin. Eat it, drink it and most definitely rub it. After investing in a good vitamin c infused moisturizer or serum, be sure to also pop some vitamin c tablets daily, it doesn't hurt if oranges become your new best fruits too.

Currently using boots vitamin c intensive night cream and popping acorbic 1000mgc vitamin c daily

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Am not going to lie, this stuff is nasty, it smells weird and tastes worse, but trust me when i say it's worth it. Use it as a toner, mix it with some clay or honey and apply as a face mask, drink it diluted with plain water and honey, bath with it, do everything with it. It's that important.

There are probably a lot of Apple cider vinegar out there but i only know of and use the Bragg organic apple cider vinegar with the mother.

BETONITE CLAY

Dries acne faster than you can say jackrobinson and tightens pores and is over all very good for your skin. Perfect when mixed with apple cider vinegar, and it gets activated too, post on how to use coming up soon.
